Welcome
I am delighted to welcome families to the new academic year and look forward to working together to meet the needs of every Battle Primary Academy child. We are blessed with truly fantastic children and dedicated staff and I feel privileged to be the leader of such a vibrant and diverse school.

Been studying @taylorswift13 for last few days after saying I didn’t know her songs enough to understand why she is quite so huge … I now have my own top 10 playlist. Do I pass the test? (As a bonus I was able to casually drop in my new Swiftie knowledge with Y2 today.. ) https://t.co/txPsM7z0XQ

Thanks to Reading Boys', School, our Yr. 6 girls will all get the chance to get out on The River Thames and learn to row. Coached by an ex-Olympic rower, they are one of the first primary schools in the country to be rowing fully on the river. #trailblazers https://t.co/U23DahfljW

Year 6's project this term has been 'Maafa' - a mature project looking at the development of the transatlantic slave trade; Britain's involvement in the sugar and slave trade; human consequences of this trading and the abolition of the slave trade. The children have approached it with sensitivity and great thought. Last week they had the amazing opportunity to visit The Docklands Museum in London to bring together all their learning. They even got to recap previous learning from the academic year in the WWII section, including 'squashing everyone in the air raid shelter! What an amazing day and museum.
