PE Specialist Teacher

Battle Primary Academy, Reading is looking to appoint a talented, friendly and dynamic individual to join our team as PE Specialist Teacher in April 2025. This role will be a crucial part of our student’s development, encouraging them to stay active, develop teamwork skills and foster a lifelong love for physical activity.
You will be part of an outstanding team supporting our exceptional school to continue to develop and provide the absolute best education, care and life chances for our wonderful children.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has high expectations of learning, achievement and behaviour
- Has qualified teacher status (QTS)
- Can plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons
- Who can teach Spanish (our MFL) to years 3 – 6 for half an hour each week and provide cover lessons for other staff where necessary
- Organize and oversee extracurricular sports activities, events and competitions
- Is enthusiastic, inspirational and resilient
- Is committed to working as part of a team
- Is reflective in their practice and commitment to continual improvement
- Can effectively engage with parents and carers
- Is organised, flexible and able to meet deadlines
